Quick Quilting Tip - 1/4 inch Seam Allowance

This week I'm sharing with you how to check your 1/4 inch seam allowance.  Not all sewing machines are accurate and with this quick tip you will be able to make sure no matter what kind of sewing machine your have you'll be sewing the perfect 1/4 inch seam.

  1. Is the Washi tape safe on decals on the old machines? I usually use painter's tape, but Washi tape is much cuter! On my 66 and 99 the 1/4 inch is on the left side of the foot so I always mark my machines.

    1. I keep the washi tape on the metal because I'm worried about harming the decals. I'm not ready to re-decal a machine.
