Fiber Tuesday 41

Welcome back to Fiber Tuesday! I made it through the holidays how about you?  It was a crash course in sewing, quilting, and DIY.  I knocked out three quilts, my husband knocked out two sets of bowl cozies and casserole covers.  Together,we refinished a sewing machine desk and he serviced a sewing machine for our son and daughter in law.

I rounded up my top 10 posts of 2015.  It was a fabulous first year of blogging and I can't wait to see what 2016 has in store for the blog.

Here are the three quilts that I did in the month of December. The top two were for the grandsons.  They picked out part of the fabrics.  They are sewn onto minky type throws.  I wanted them soft and lets face it they went to a 4 year old and a 2 year old, they aren't heirlooms, they aren't going to make it for 100 years.  At least I hope not, I want them used and loved.  I'll make them more quilts.  The bottom is a 1000 pyramid quilt I made for a friend.

  3. I'm so grateful for your link up, and the feature. The quilt is being made for a man who is a special adopted friend of our family, and he will use it for his everyday quilt. I'm not sure he'll understand the idea of improv quilting, but I'm sure he will love it because it was made just for him.
