Fiber Tuesday 59

Welcome back to Fiber Tuesday!  Did any of you notice the address change?  I'm now www.quiltingroomwithmel.com.  Be sure to update any bookmarks that you have.  Other than that not a lot going on here.  Missing the grandbabies but everyone is busy and I understand that.  I'm just sewing and organizing my little heart out.  The poor studio is a disaster area and needs to be straightened up.

It's been a vintage sewing machine kind of week here on the blog.  I shared the video of my pantyhose treadle belt.  If you need a treadle belt in a hurry give it a whirl.

This morning I gave a few tips on how to buy your own vintage sewing machine.  The ironic thing was while I was writing the post I actually found a new to me machine and the hubs picked it up tonight.  I'm sure it will be introduced soon here on the blog.

Singer 301A
I had to giggle when I saw what the top viewed link was, it looks like everyone was in a sewing machine mood this last week.  Katy Quilts linked this up and I'm extremely jealous.  The Singer 301A is one of the very few machines on my MUST HAVE list.  I've seen one on Craigslist and it was 2 hours away.  I knew they were popular with quilters but I fell in love when I got ahold of my sister's in law machine last summer.  I will find one someday.  Katy if you don't want this, you have my email address. ;)

  1. How fun! I am glad you enjoyed seeing my "new" machine! I will let you know if I decide to find a new home for her, but I suspect I won't! You will love having one of these. It is worth the 2 hour drive!
