Fiber Tuesday 64

Welcome back to Fiber Tuesday!  What a week!  We had one of the grandsons over the weekend, the middle one.  He had wanted to sew but settled for watching me make him a pair of shorts while telling grandpa "You gotta go faster to beat grandma Mel, come on grandpa."  The sad thing is Grandpa was going faster on his treadle than I was on my motorized machine.  I love my little Kenmore for doing clothing but I think a hand crank might be faster than it is.

Paul was back sharing how he overcame his fear of treadle sewing machines.

The latest block of the month came out on Friday!  I made a Kansas Star quilt block.

This morning we talked about pre-cut fabrics.  I broke down the sizes, their names, and how much you pay per yard for them.

The Eclectica Abuela shared her finish of this sweet quilt.  Since she's planning on donating it she picked colors outside of her normal palette.  I agree with her husband that it looks old timey and would have thought it was a vintage quilt if she didn't say otherwise.  Someone is going to be very happy to get this.
