Fiber Tuesday 119

Welcome back to Fiber Tuesday!  How was everyone's week? Nothing to exciting has been going on here.  Just a lot of time with our machines working on things for the blog.  Paul did get a new work bench for the basement.  We found a huge desk at a local second hand store for $5.  It was to big to fit in the car so he borrowed his dad's truck and trailer to bring it home.  I was shocked when he got it home and realized it was solid wood not press board or MDF.  It will be a wonderful work space for him.

This week I learned a lot about Singer slant shank feet. It amazes me when manufacturers change things just enough that you have to get all new if you upgrade.  I thought it was a new thing but I found out Singer was doing it years ago.

This week I did the Amish Diamond quilt block.  I am part of a group who is doing the block as a swap.  I goofed so badly with the original directions.  If I had to take the time to rewrite the pattern for myself I figured I might as well share with all of you.

Neverending Story
Sabine shared the finish of a long standing UFO.  The front of the quilt is breathtaking but you really need to check out the quilting on the back.  It's AWESOME!  Really take a few minutes and look at the back of the quilt.

Now on to the link up.  Remember to check out each other and spread the love.  It is a party after all!
