When I last updated you I had a whole bunch of pairs sewn.
I took all those pairs and and turned them into four patches. They sewed up fairly quick. The downside of it though is while they sew up quick 1" squares don't take up a lot of space. The four patches are measuring at 1 1/2 inches square.

This is actually bigger than the real block. |
See how tiny those middle blocks are? They'll end up being 1/2 inch square. What was I thinking folks? I knew going into this that it was going to take some 20,000 squares to do this project but like I said before, a postage stamp quilt with 1" squares is a once in a life time project.
I have a bunch of pairs sewn up ready to be turned into four patches, which is my next step. I also chopped up some more fabric to add variety and help get the four patches matched up. Hopefully, by next months update I'll have close to one row sewn together.

Heavens, way too tiny for me hahahaah but I applaud you doing it :)
ReplyDeleteJust keep plugging away at the postage stamp quilt and someday it will be completed. Who says quilts have to be made fast? I'm working on a quilt with 1" finished blocks, it will be completed someday! Blessings, Gretchen
