I love the fact that I have several local quilt shops in my area since I live in a pretty rural area. So my family knew where to shop but they weren't sure what to get. Since I knew the men in my life were going shopping I made sure the weekend before I stopped into my two favorite shops to drop big hints to my husband. I got just what I wanted and at the top of the list was the adult coloring fabric. I knew of three pieces that one shop carried, I found more this last weekend. One was a princess castle and I told him I didn't want that one. I got the other two though and the markers!!
I haven't had a lot of time to color. I tend to spend my down time on the computer learning how to make this blog better, figuring out what social media work, and answering all of your great questions. I did make time the other day for coloring, partly I needed to unplug and partly because the grandkids had been asking about my coloring. Of course I started with the space one, I didn't think they'd be into the geometric print as much as the space print. I want to make a bag with the space print so I know what that one will end up being.
As you can see I didn't get a lot done but it was enough to satisfy a five year old and a three year old. The shop also carries crayons and that's what their sample is done in. I wonder if the crayons aren't a little quicker. With the markers I had to go over each area several times to get the color to come out nice and bright. It was a fun night though and I love that the grandkids gave me coloring fabric since I bought them coloring books.
