Have you guys heard of Cotton Cuts? It's a new subscription box service for us quilters sending us fabric! I've been watching them on social media while they worked to get everything up and running. Well, the good news is they are up and running. The better news is one of you are going to get a free box! That's right Cotton Cuts and I have teamed up to celebrate the founding of their company and my birthday!! This isn't your normal subscription box where we will all end up with the same thing. There are a lot of choices for us and the box of fabric you get could be different from the fabric I get.
This post may contain affiliate links. Purchasing items from the links cost you nothing more and adds a few pennies to the fabric budget.
This is a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are mine and mine alone. I will never bring you a product or service I don't believe in.
So why did I jump on Cotton Cuts bandwagon and not some of the other subscription services? The others that I have seen are mostly notions. I don't need a lot of that stuff. I was lucky to inherit a lot of that kind of stuff so I don't want to take the chance of getting a box of goodies that I already have. Cotton Cuts though is fabric, though. No quilter has ever said, "I don't need more fabric."
So let's talk about how it works. We'll start with what you get in a box. You get fabric, your choice of pattern from the designer of the month, two block of the month patterns, and a Lagniappe (something extra). You start by picking what you want for fabric. You can pick 12 fat quarters or 20 fat eights. Then you take a short survey to let them know what you like to make, your personal style, what tones/colors of fabric you like, then you pick the fabric you DON'T like. On October 20 you will get the box full of fabric picked just for you. This is quilt store quality designer fabric. "We search both domestically in the US as well as abroad in places like Japan, Australia and Europe. We select these fabrics from today’s top manufacturers like Free Spirit, Penny Rose, Henry Glass, Michael Miller, Dear Stella, Lecien, Riley Blake, RJR and larger houses like Robert Kaufman, Clothworks, Camelot and Windham Studio." So this is going to be the fabric we buy all the time anyway.
So ready to get your own box? You can head over to the Cotton Cuts website and sign up. There might be a few founder memberships left so use IMAFOUNDER for 10% off your month to month subscription. That's for those of you who aren't lucky enough to win a free box. This giveaway is open until September 28, 2016 (my birthday) and you can enter daily. I will notify ASAP since to get the first box you need to order by September 30.
