Fiber Tuesday 96

Welcome back to Fiber Tuesday!  Holy cow where did January go?  I can't believe we are just a day or so from February, depending on when you read this.  January has been an odd month we've had really warm days and really cold days.  No snow and the ice storm they predicted would hit was nothing more than a little rain.  I'm not complaining but I always worry when January is so mild we'll end up with snow on spring break in March.

Fiber Tuesday Link Party for all fiber crafts

This post may contain affiliate links.  Ordering from my links cost you nothing and adds a few pennies to the fabric budget.

In celebration of Local Quilt Store day Saturday Paul wrote about the advantages to shopping your LQS.  I think we are so fortunate to have two great shops so close to us.

First Finish of the Year
Gretchen linked up her first finish of the year.  I'm a little jealous.  I've wanted to do a postage stamp quilt but I tried to do a 1" squares cut individually.  I really like Gretchen's with bigger squares so I may have to give a whirl.

Now on to the link up.  Remember to check out each other and spread the love.  It is a party after all!

  1. I love my little postage stamp quilt. Most of my little 4-patches were stripped pieced. Just cut 1-1/2" strips when you are cutting fabric for other projects. It doesn't take much. I used left over whites other projects. Just sew them together and cut them apart. Every quilt starts with the first stitch. I had originally planned to make a king sized quilt and I still think that would have been awesome. I just ran out of steam. I love the LQS in my area. I am blessed to have so many of them.
