Fiber Tuesday 140

Welcome back to Fiber Tuesday!  How was everyone's week?  We are freezing here!  The windchill in the morning is supposed to be around -20.  I am thankful that I don't have to get out in it but I know others will have no choice.  On cold days I spend a lot of time with my sewing machine and hot tea or coffee.  I have to go out to the garage to get to the basement so I need the warm drink to help me recover from those 30 seconds.  I know, I am a wuss when it comes to the cold.  I'm already planning my move to Texas unless one of you wants to house me now.

Fiber Tuesday Link Party for all fiber crafts

This post may contain affiliate links.  Ordering from my links cost you nothing and adds a few pennies to the fabric budget.

I stole an idea from our knitting and crochet friends.  I've watched for years as they worked up an afghan marking the temps of the year.  Thanks to working in fabric I can mark highs and lows in my temperature quilt for 2018.  Don't worry that we are half way through January there's a link in the post where you can look them up.

On Friday I shared the plans for the block of the month.  This year it will be hosted in the Facebook group.  12 different stars in 3 different sizes will make up our final quilt.  We are starting off easy with the Ohio Star quilt block.

Katy shared all of her baby quilt finishes from 2017.  There are some lucky babies in Katy's world!  This was my favorite at of all of them.  I love that it's not baby looking either.  I love novelty prints but sometimes you want something a little more sophisticated than dinos and princesses.

Now on to the link up.  Remember to check out each other and spread the love.  It is a party after all!

  1. That baby quilt is too cute! I love how it will grow as baby matures!
