Fiber Tuesday 182

Welcome back to Fiber Tuesday!  Did you have a good Thanksgiving?  It was a great day here, we ate, we laughed, the weather was perfect, and we were in bed while a lot of people were shopping.  My weekend shopping consisted of two trips to the quilt shop, a "new" sewing machine, and a vet trip for flea meds for the cat. Yesterday, we had a blizzard.  It was something else.  I'm thankful our power stayed on when others weren't so lucky.

We took last week off for Thanksgiving.  I don't think too many people had quilting on their minds that close to the holiday.  I know I was focused on getting the house cleaned and prepping as much food as possible.

Last week I shared one way that I use Quilt-Pro software. It is such a versatile piece of software that I use it all the time.  It's so much better than my old method.  I wanted to show people what I thought would be one of the big things for the average quilter, printing your own templates. P.S. I adore this fabric!

This week I got to review a Cricut Maker.  I took those templates we have, like the ones made with QuiltPro, and had my Maker cut them for me.  It makes life so much easier.  I've never been the smoothest cutter when not doing basic shapes so this has been a real game changer.

Maggie over at Making A Lather shared an update on her template play.  She came up with a new layout using just two strips.  I love this!!  It's so cool and fresh.  This is the perfect example that our piecing doesn't have to be difficult to make striking quilts.

Now on to the link up.  Remember to check out each other and spread the love.  It is a party after all!
